The Gaza civil defense agency said that the air strike launched by Israel on Sunday (July 13) killed more than 40 Palestinians, including several children.

Agence France-Presse reported that Gaza's civil defense spokesperson, Basalle, said that the city was hit by multiple air strikes overnight, resulting in eight deaths, including women and children, and many others were injured.

Meanwhile, the week-long indirect ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas have also reached a deadlock.

Basale said that an Israeli air strike hit a household near the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, killing 10 people and injuring several others.

In addition, a drone hit a water distribution point in the Nusailit refugee camp, killing eight people, including six children.

The statement also said, "The Israeli army regrets that innocent civilians have been harmed," and is reviewing the incident.

In Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, an Israeli military fighter jet hit a refugee tent in the coastal area of Al Mawasi, killing three people.

The Israeli army said on Saturday (the 12th) that its warplanes had struck 35 "Hamas targets" around Beit Hanun in northern Gaza.
