Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Israel will fully control Gaza and claimed that allowing a certain amount of food to enter Gaza is for diplomatic considerations and that the local area must not fall into famine.

According to reports from Xinhua News Agency and Agence France-Presse, Netanyahu released a video statement on Monday (May 19) saying that the Israeli army has begun large-scale fighting in Gaza and is making progress. He stated: "We will control all the territory of the Gaza Strip."

The office of the Prime Minister of Israel issued a statement on Sunday (the 18th), saying that at the suggestion of the military, Israel will allow a certain amount of food to enter Gaza to ensure that there will be no famine in the area and endanger Israel's new round of military operations. The statement also emphasized that Israel will take action to prevent Hamas from seizing humanitarian aid.

Netanyahu detailed in a statement on Monday the plan to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. He said that ordering the entry of aid supplies into Gaza was to avoid criticism from the international community. "Reports of famine in the Gaza Strip are undermining the international community's support for Israel."

While intensifying military strikes against Gaza, the Israeli army has imposed a strict blockade on Gaza. The World Health Organization has issued a stern warning about the local humanitarian crisis, stating that two million people are facing hunger.

According to Israel's statement, the first batch of trucks carrying baby food will enter Gaza on Monday local time. In the coming days, Israel will assist dozens of aid trucks in entering the area.

Netanyahu said in the video that Israel will not give up, "but in order to succeed, we must act in an unstoppable way." He also stated: "We cannot allow the population of Gaza to fall into famine, whether for practical or diplomatic reasons."
