US President Trump said that in the US action against Venezuela, the final decision-making power lies with him.

CNN reported that on Monday (January 5th), Trump, in an interview with NBC News, first named a group of senior US officials involved in related affairs and with "different specialties", including Secretary of State Rubio and Defense Secretary Hegseth, among others.

But when asked who was ultimately responsible for the operation in Venezuela, Trump replied, "Me."

The night before, he also told the media on Air Force One that the US was "in control" of Venezuela.

In addition, Trump also disclosed that before the United States carried out the arrest of Venezuelan President Maduro, it did not communicate with the Venezuelan acting President Rodriguez. But he pointed out that Rodriguez has been cooperating with the US side since the operation ended.

He also hinted that if Rodriguez stopped cooperating with the United States, the US might launch a second military operation against Venezuela, but said he believed such a situation was unlikely to occur.

Trump said that Rubio has been communicating with Rodriguez over the phone in fluent Spanish and that their relationship is "very solid".
