Iran's foreign Ministry says Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Ghali Babadi will travel to Vienna to meet with International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Ali Grossi.

Iran's Foreign ministry said Monday that Kazem Gharibabadi would visit the headquarters of the U.N. nuclear watchdog on Monday for talks with Grossi, describing the meeting as part of their "ongoing cooperation with the agency," AFP reported.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry also said, As the threat to Iran s peaceful nuclear facilities increases, we will naturally intensify our consultations with the IAEA.

Garibabadi held talks with his Russian and Chinese counterparts in Beijing on Friday.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Bargay also told a news conference on Monday that the letter (from Trump) was similar to the public statement and repeated the same talking points.

After a full review, Iran "will respond through appropriate channels," he said.

Last week, a United Arab Emirates official delivered a letter from Trump to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei proposing talks with Tehran on the nuclear issue.

However, Khamenei ruled out holding talks with the United States, saying that the proposed negotiations would not only fail to lift sanctions, but would lead to further tightening by the United States.

Trump reinstated a policy of "maximum pressure" sanctions on Iran after returning to the White House in January, mirroring his first term in an effort to prevent Iran from acquiring an atomic bomb.
