Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Israel is determined to "enforce the ceasefire agreement" in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon with an "iron fist" and "strike at those forces that attempt to destroy us".
Xinhua News Agency reported that Netanyahu said in a speech at the plenary session of the parliament on Monday (November 10) that the war "is not over yet" and the forces attempting to harm Israel are "rearming".
The ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel came into effect on November 27 last year. However, in recent times, the Israeli side has frequently launched air strikes on the grounds that Hezbollah in Lebanon is attempting to rebuild military facilities in the south of the country, causing many casualties in Lebanon. Israel announced on Monday that it had killed 15 Hezbollah members this month alone.
On the other side, since the ceasefire in Gaza came into effect a month ago, Israel has repeatedly launched air strikes and shelling on the grounds that Hamas violated the ceasefire agreement, but Hamas has denied Israel's accusations.
On the same day, US President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Donald Kushner, visited Israel to discuss the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire. The spokesperson of the Prime Minister's office, Bedrosian, said that the two discussed some of the most sensitive issues of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire, including disarming Hamas, demilitarizing the Gaza Strip, ensuring that Hamas will not control Gaza in the future, and deploying the "International Stabilization Force" in Gaza.
According to Israel's Haarete, Netanyahu and Kushner also discussed the situation where about 200 Hamas militants were trapped in Israeli-controlled areas. It was reported that some Hamas militants were in tunnels in Rafah, a city in the southern Gaza Strip. Hamas demanded that Israel allow them to pass, but the Israeli side refused.
The Jerusalem Post of Israel reported that Kushner told Netanyahu that the US hopes the trapped Hamas militants will be allowed to go to Hamas-controlled areas or other countries. An Israeli official disclosed after attending the meeting between the two sides that "no agreement has been reached yet" regarding this matter and Israel will continue its crackdown operation in Rafah.
