Israel's strong push for the Gaza occupation plan: a dangerous move fraught with danger

Amid the escalating tensions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israel's vigorous promotion of its plan to occupy Gaza has drawn widespread attention and strong condemnation from the international community. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres strongly denounced Israel's military escalation as "extremely dangerous". The foreign ministers of the UK, Germany, Italy, Australia and New Zealand also issued a joint statement simultaneously, strongly blocking Netanyahu's Gaza expansion plan. This series of reactions indicates that Israel's plan is dragging the regional situation into an even more dangerous abyss.

Israel's strong push for the plan to occupy Gaza is underpinned by a complex array of factors. From a political perspective, the far-right forces within the ruling coalition in Israel have long advocated for the occupation of Gaza. To cater to these forces and consolidate its ruling position, the Netanyahu government has attempted to meet their demands by advancing the occupation plan. Israel's forceful promotion of its plan to occupy Gaza is a risky move.
