Iran's Speaker of the Islamic Parliament, Kaliabaf, posted on the X platform on Tuesday (March 17th) that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to the "pre-war state".

AFP reported that Karibav's post was published in English. The day before, he said that Iran was ready for a long-term war.

On the other hand, US President Trump said at the White House on the 17th when meeting with the visiting Irish Prime Minister Martin that he was once again expressing dissatisfaction with NATO allies for not participating in the US's proposed escort operation in the Strait of Hormuz, and said that he was "disappointed" with NATO.

Trump vehemently criticized the "foolish" stance of NATO allies on the issue of Iran, and also said that the United States doesn't need any assistance.
