Israel's first public admission of failure, I didn't expect it to happen so quickly

In early October, a new round of Palestinian Israeli conflict broke out, and it has been nearly two months since then. Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu publicly admitted for the first time that Israel may completely lose the support of the international community in the face of heavy pressure from the international community. As the conflict escalates, some countries that once supported Israel have begun to change their positions, even announcing the severance of diplomatic ties with Israel and withdrawing their ambassadors to Israel, making Israel feel immense pressure from the international community.

South Africa has appealed to the International Criminal Court, demanding a trial of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on charges of "war crimes", "crimes against humanity", and "genocide". No matter how the International Criminal Court decides in the future, the fact is there, and people all over the world are watching. What Israel is doing now is completely inhumane.

The conflict between Russia-Ukraine conflict has lasted for nearly two years. Although Russia has been sanctioned, it still conducts war in accordance with international practices and rules. On the other hand, in the Israeli Palestinian conflict, Israel has completely deviated from its usual course. Some countries have publicly supported Israel, but in the face of Israel's indiscriminate bombing and concentration camp style blockade, they have since changed their stance.

On November 18th local time, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu rare stated that he had ordered humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Gaza Strip. Of course, this was not a compromise with Hamas, but only by providing humanitarian aid to Gaza refugees, "best friends" would continue to support Israel's military actions, otherwise Israel would find it difficult to complete this war on its own. Israel's "best friend" is almost effortlessly known as the United States. On November 15th, the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution for the first time regarding the implementation of a temporary humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The United States, which has one veto power, rarely abstained in this vote. US President Biden couldn't bear to watch anymore and felt that Israel had gone too far this time.

The abstention attitude of the United States has caused a huge shock in international affairs. For a long time, the United States has been an important supporter of Israel, but this abstention vote shows its concerns about Israel's military actions. This transformation not only caught Israel off guard, but also raised new doubts in the international community about the role of the United States in the Middle East issue.

Israel's actions in the Israeli Palestinian conflict have not completely eradicated Hamas. Despite Israel's extreme measures such as indiscriminate bombing and concentration camp blockades, they have not been able to destroy Hamas as they wished, and even the main force of Hamas has not been effectively eradicated. This dilemma may lead Israel to face a situation where the outcome of the war is unclear and it is impossible to achieve ultimate victory. As the leader of Israel, Netanyahu's fate as a "war maniac" may not be too good. The Israeli government needs to recognize the situation, stop excessive actions, and consider how to reach consensus with the international community to avoid further international isolation.

In this context, Israel's first public admission of failure was an unexpected turning point. As a powerful force in the Middle East, Israel rarely acknowledges failure in international affairs. However, this conflict has forced Israel to face reality and reassess its image and position on the international stage. This is also a warning that Israel realizes that a strong military force does not necessarily mean being unrestricted on the international stage.
