The Israeli military said that it carried out a "targeted strike" in central Gaza, targeting a jihadist who planned to attack the Israeli army.
Reuters reported that the ceasefire agreement proposed by the United States between Israel and Hamas is still in effect, but both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the ceasefire.
However, Jahad issued a statement on Sunday (the 26th) saying that the Israeli military's claim that the group planned an attack was a "completely false accusation". The statement also did not specify whether anyone was killed in the strike.
Witnesses said they saw a drone attack on a car, which then caught fire and burned. Local medical staff said that four people were injured but no deaths were reported.
Other witnesses said that Israeli tanks shelled the eastern part of Gaza City, which is the largest city in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military has not commented on this matter yet.
