Anti-war protests at US colleges spread to the White House: Protests must remain peaceful

According to the Palestinian Gaza Strip health department on Saturday (28) released data, the Israeli army in the past 24 hours of attacks on the Gaza Strip killed 66 people and wounded 138. More than 34,400 Palestinians have been killed and more than 77,000 injured in Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip since a new round of fighting began last October.

As the policies adopted by the United States in the new round of Israel-Kazakhstan conflict have triggered widespread social controversy and dissatisfaction, Columbia University, Yale University, Brown University, Princeton University and other more than a dozen American universities have recently witnessed fierce student protests.

Some 275 people have been arrested by police in the United States as large pro-Palestinian protests spread across several universities. White House officials said Sunday that recent campus protests must remain peaceful.

As campuses across the United States prepare for final exams in the coming weeks, some colleges, including California Polytechnic State University's Humboldt campus, have announced closures and asked students to complete the rest of their classes online.

The university's Independent Student newspaper reported that protesters at Yale University set up another camp Sunday, days after the camp was dismantled by police, and dozens of people were arrested and charged with illegally entering the campus.

Us National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told ABC News on Sunday: "We certainly respect the right to peaceful protest... But we absolutely condemn the anti-Semitic language we have heard recently, as well as all hate speech and threats of violence."
