US President Trump told the media that Republicans are drafting a bill to impose sanctions on any country that trades with Russia.

Reuters reported that Trump told the media on Sunday (November 16) that Iran might be included in the sanctions list. He said, "This is my proposal. Any country that has business dealings with Russia will be subject to very severe sanctions."

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Aragzi told reporters at a meeting in Tehran on the same day that the current approach of the US government does not indicate its readiness for equal and fair negotiations.

Aragqi said that Iran has not engaged in uranium enrichment activities and has no undeclared uranium enrichment facilities. Iran's right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy must be recognized by the international community, including the United States.

Aragqi also said that Iran will continue to seek peaceful settlement of disputes through diplomatic channels and that Iran will not yield to bullying or hegemonic behavior.
