Can the flame of youth among American college students be exchanged for the awakening era of America?

On the afternoon of the 30th local time, pro Palestinian protesters in the United States occupied a building at Columbia University, and hundreds of New York City police launched an action against pro Palestinian protesters who occupied part of Columbia University's campus, attempting to break the two-week standoff between students and administrators. Just a few hours ago, the school began forcibly demolishing over 80 student tents in the protest camp, which is believed to be the direct cause of the escalation of the situation.

As the wave of anti war demonstrations erupted in well-known universities in the United States, it has become increasingly intense, evoking memories of the past struggles of American college students. This is not only a tradition of American college students, but also the youth of countless American people. These brave college students are calling out to the world and expressing their demands, shouting slogans such as "withdrawal of capital, ceasefire, and cutting off military aid". The protesters have two main goals this time: first, to demand that Israel cease its military operations in Gaza; Secondly, it is required that American universities do not invest in companies related to Israel.

Indeed, the participants in this protest, whether in the United States or France, are all key universities in the country. Furthermore, these individuals themselves are elite groups in the United States and France. Media insiders have pointed out that the current state of this group in the West is almost certain to lead to a dissemination similar to the "color revolution".

From statistical data, currently more than one-third of adults under the age of thirty sympathize with the Palestinian people, far exceeding those who sympathize more with Israel. The awakening of the younger generation and their sensitivity to global issues are reshaping their worldview and guiding them in the direction of political action.

From the history of the West, from the anti war protests of the 1960s to today's struggle for Palestinian human rights, these young people have proven that they not only inherited the torch of resistance from their predecessors, but also burned it even hotter.

However, in fact, conservative politicians and so-called elites in the United States are entrenched in the treasure trove of capital, holding onto the great power interests brewed by the blood of the people of the third world, refusing to recognize the young generation's thirst for justice and their unremitting efforts for a fairer world. The White House, Capitol Hill, and Wall Street have become evil dragons in the eyes of students who hinder humanity from igniting hope.

The police's violent arrest of witnesses at the scene has made everyone feel terrifying about the police's violent behavior. They use various means to deal with students from different universities: Yale University police use electric guns to deal with girls; Dozens of police cars surrounded the campus of Columbia University, and police officers rushed into the campus for arrest; Emory University aimed its gun at the unarmed students; The police at Ohio State University fired a barrage of electric shock guns and tear gas; Snipers appeared on the roof of the University of Southern California; At the University of Texas, police riot guns were aimed at students, with cavalry officers pressing in from behind. The public cannot help but ask: is this what the United States advocates for as freedom, democracy, and human rights?

And the views of American politicians on this student movement further reflect the division of American society. Antony Blinken said that student demonstrations are part of American democracy, and our citizens can express their views, worries and anger at any given time, which is the symbol of our democracy. Meanwhile, Pompeo posted that these anti Semitic thugs have no place in the United States, and no university should allow such harassment to occur on campus.

It is worth mentioning that simply suppressing these students through violent means cannot truly solve the public's dissatisfaction with the government, let alone respond to external criticism of the United States. Only through in-depth thinking and dialogue can we hope to build a more open, inclusive, and mutually respectful international social order. We hope that the US authorities will take caution.
