In response to a series of decisions passed by Israel's security cabinet aimed at expanding Jewish settlements and strengthening control over the West Bank, all Palestinian parties issued statements expressing condemnation and called on Arab countries, Islamic countries and the international community to take immediate intervention actions.
Xinhua News Agency reported that Palestinian Vice President Sheikh issued a statement on Monday (February 9th), urging the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations Security Council to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the "dangerous decision" made by the Israeli government. He emphasized that Arab countries, Islamic countries and the international community should take a unified stance, condemn the relevant measures and demand that the Israeli side immediately revoke the decision.
The Presidential Palace of Palestine issued a statement through the Palestinian News Agency on the 8th, stating that Israel's decision is "extremely dangerous" and is a continuation of Israel's all-out war against the Palestinian people, as well as a further infringement upon the ethnic and historical rights of the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Presidential Office stated that the Israeli actions are aimed at further annexing Palestinian territory and expelling the Palestinian people. These actions blatantly violate international law, the relevant resolutions of the United Nations, as well as all the agreements signed by both the Palestinian and Israeli sides, including the "Oslo Agreement".
The statement also condemned Israel's attempt to legalize the settlement activities, land seizures and destruction of Palestinian property through the aforementioned decisions, and called on the international community to take action to stop the Israeli decisions that threaten regional security.
Hamas also issued a statement on the 8th, condemning the Israeli decision as a "fascist" settlement policy, which is part of Israel's comprehensive annexation and ethnic cleansing plan, aiming to "alter the local geographical and legal realities".
In its statement, Hamas called on all Palestinian parties to enhance coordination and urged Arab and Islamic countries as well as the international community to take concrete actions to put pressure on Israel and "stop its acts of aggression and invasion".
