The Israeli offensive has escalated, forcing two hospitals in Gaza City to cease operations

The Gaza Ministry of Health said that two hospitals in Gaza have ceased operations due to the escalation of Israel's ground offensive, the deepening of tanks and the damage caused by continuous bombing.

Reuters reported that the Ministry of Health said in a statement that the Al-Rantissi Children's Hospital was severely damaged in an Israeli bombing several days ago. Meanwhile, the area near the Eye Hospital was also attacked by Israel and services were forced to be suspended.

The occupying forces deliberately and systematically attacked the medical system in Gaza, which was part of their genocidal policy against the Gaza Strip.

No facility or hospital has a safe passage that enables patients and the injured to reach.

Local residents said that Israeli tanks advanced into the Sheikh Radwan district and Jala Street in the northern part of Gaza City on Monday (September 22), which are exactly where the two hospitals mentioned above are located. In the Hava District in the southeast, tanks also advanced towards the west of the city.

Residents said that the Israeli army used vehicles carrying explosives and remotely detonated to destroy dozens of houses in the above two areas.

The military department of Hamas released a video on Monday showing Alon Ohel, a 24-year-old Israeli hostage. It is still not clear when it was shot.

Human rights organizations have condemned the act of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza releasing hostage videos, calling it "inhumane treatment" and equivalent to war crimes. Israeli officials, however, described these videos as psychological warfare tactics.

Meanwhile, local health authorities said that at least 25 people were killed in Israeli artillery fire in the Gaza Strip on Monday, most of which occurred in Gaza City.
