The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that it has expelled "all foreign activists" from the ship convoy heading to the Gaza Strip.

The AFP quoted the spokesperson of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Marmstein, as saying that all foreign activists have been expelled from the country. "Israel will never tolerate any illegal acts of imposing a maritime blockade on Gaza."

According to Israeli media reports on Thursday (May 21st), Israel is "expelling" hundreds of activists from the "Global Sumud Flotilla" who were detained by the Israeli authorities for assisting the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

The Israel Times quoted a message from an Israeli human rights organization, stating that the Israeli authorities have detained approximately 430 members of the "Global Resilient Fleet" movement. Most of these individuals are heading to a civilian airport near the southernmost city of Israel, Eilat, where the Israeli authorities plan to "expel them from the country".

Xinhua News Agency quoted a report saying that an Israeli activist named Regev is still being detained by the Israeli authorities and is currently on trial at the Ashkelon District Court in Israel.

The Israeli Navy intercepted a "Global Resilience Fleet" attempting to head for the Gaza Strip on the morning of the 18th. The fleet set off from the southern part of Turkey and was attempting to break through Israel's maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip in order to deliver humanitarian aid supplies to the people there.

On the 20th, Israel's Minister of National Security Ben-Gvir also posted a video on social media, mocking the activists of the detained ship convoy, which drew widespread criticism from the international community.

European Council President Costa said that he was "shocked" by the way Ben-Gvir treated the members of the aid flotilla who were attempting to enter Gaza. Costa said, "This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. We call for their immediate release."
