Israel has reopened the West Bank passage to allow humanitarian aid to pass through Gaza

Israeli officials announced that Israel will reopen the border crossing controlled by Israel between Jordan and the occupied West Bank starting from Wednesday (December 10). This will be the first time since late September that humanitarian aid trucks have been permitted to pass through this passage to Gaza.

Reuters reported that Israeli officials said in a statement on Tuesday (9th) : "In accordance with the reached understanding and instructions at the political level, starting from Wednesday, it will be allowed to transport supplies and aid from Jordan to the Jewish and Samaritan regions (the biblical term for the West Bank by Israel) and to the Gaza Strip via the Arunbi Bridge passage."

The official added that all aid trucks heading for the Gaza Strip will continue their journey after thorough security checks and under escort and security measures.
