Trump's approval rating in his first 100 days in office is the lowest among all US presidents in the past 80 years

US President Trump's second term in office will last for 100 days. The latest public opinion poll results show that Trump's approval rating for his first 100 days in office is 39%. This figure has dropped by six percentage points compared to February this year and has set the lowest 100-day approval rating among all US presidents in nearly 80 years.

According to the poll data released on Sunday (April 27th), 72% of Americans believe that Trump's economic policies are very likely to cause a recession in the United States in the short term, 53% think that the economic situation in the United States has worsened since Trump took office in January, and 41% think that their financial situation has deteriorated since Trump took office.

At the political level, 65% of people said that the Trump administration was trying to evade compliance with the orders of the federal court, 64% of people thought that Trump's actions in expanding the president's power were too radical, and 62% of people believed that the Trump administration did not respect the rule of law.

This public opinion poll jointly conducted by ABC, The Washington Post and IPSOS was carried out by randomly sampling 2,464 American adults from April 18th to 22nd.
