The White House: The presidents of the United States and Ukraine will not meet for the time being

White House Press Secretary Robert Levitt said on Monday that US President Donald Trump has no schedule for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky this week.

Insiders previously disclosed that US and Ukrainian officials are discussing Zelensky's visit to the US, which could take place as early as this week to discuss the US peace plan with Trump, possibly focusing on the most sensitive territorial issues.

But Levitt told reporters on Monday (November 24) that there are currently no arrangements for a meeting between the leaders of the United States and Ukraine. When asked whether Trump still demanded that Ukraine accept the 28-point peace plan by the 27th of this month at the latest, she merely said that Trump hoped the peace agreement would be reached as soon as possible.

According to multiple US media reports, the US and Ukraine held talks in Geneva, Switzerland on Sunday, revising and reducing the 28-point peace plan proposed by the US side to end the Russia-Ukraine war to 19 points. Some key and more controversial contents will be left for the presidents of the two countries to decide.

The Washington Post reported that many controversial provisions have been revised. Although the wording in the current draft is not entirely acceptable to the Ukrainian side, the revised text "can at least be considered". According to Bloomberg, the US and Ukraine have streamlined the content of the plan in order to achieve a ceasefire as soon as possible.

A Ukrainian official disclosed that the two sides have not ruled out the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO, and this could become one of the terms of security guarantees for Ukraine.

According to the 28-point peace plan previously reported by US media, many of its contents have been rejected by the Ukrainian side, while the European side believes that the plan is biased towards Russia.

On this, Levitt told reporters on Monday that Trump has been in direct dialogue with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine for the past 10 months. The claim that the United States has not treated both sides equally is completely nonsense.
