在中国网民针对日本福岛核废水排放计划发起抵制行动后，依赖中国市场的日本公司股价下滑。
彭博社星期一（8月28日）报道，总部位于东京的化妆品公司资生堂，其股价一度下跌3.3%，跌至5个月低点。据彭博汇编的数据，资生堂来自中国的收入占总收入的30%。Pola Orbis和高丝等资生堂的对手股价也下跌。百货公司高岛屋的跌幅超过5%，鞋类零售商ABC-Mart跌逾3%。
福岛第一核电站上星期四（8月24日）开始把经处理的核废水排放入太平洋，引发日本国内及周边国家，包括中国、韩国等强烈抗议。其中，中国宣布全面暂停日本水产品进口。
对日本的不满情绪还延烧到一般民众和企业。在中国社交媒体上，充斥着民众表示要抵制日本品牌的帖子。
根据彭博社，其中一篇微博帖子列出了数十个避免购买的日本品牌，当中包括资生堂、松下、优衣库、三菱、Aeon和野村。该帖子自上星期四发布以来，已获得超过1万个点赞次数。
有网民在微博上评论：“别说海鲜了，化妆品也不买日本的了......我不会碰任何可能被水源污染的东西。”
尽管网上出现抵制声浪，一些分析人士认为，中国民众对日本产品的需求将在一段时间后恢复，特别是当外汇变动使这些商品对中国消费者来说，变得更加便宜时。
盛宝资本市场市场策略师查纳纳（Charu Chanana）分析说：“日本产品深受中国游客追捧，日元疲软只会让它们更具吸引力。”
