Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the Strait of Hormuz is open to all, but it does not welcome those who violate Iran's territory and are aggressors.

Xinhua News Agency reported that Rouhani said on Sunday (March 22) on a social media platform that the fantasy of "erasing Iran from the map" is merely the desperation shown when facing the will of a nation that is creating history.

He said: "Threats and terror will only further strengthen our unity... We will firmly respond to these crazy threats on the battlefield."

The Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Parliament, Kaliabeh, warned that it would crack down on financial institutions that fund US military operations.

The Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported that Kaliabeh said in a social media post that apart from US military bases, financial institutions that provide funds for US military expenses are also "legitimate targets for Iran's crackdown".

Kaliabeh said that Iran is monitoring the flow of relevant financial assets and called it a "final warning".
