Two left-wing Israeli lawmakers were expelled from the venue for demonstrating during a speech by US President Trump.

AFP reported that Trump delivered a speech at the Israeli Parliament on Monday (October 13). During his speech, he received several standing ovations from the audience, but also faced brief protests.

It is reported that Israeli lawmaker Ofer Cassif held up a placard during Trump's speech. Photos posted by Kasif himself on social media show that the paper clearly reads: "Recognize Palestine!"

Kasif said, "This was the slogan I showed Trump in the Israeli Parliament, and I was then expelled from the venue."

Trump paused his speech because of this incident. When Kasif was quickly taken away from the scene, Trump quipped, "How efficient!"

Kasif is a member of the Peace and Equality Democratic Front (Hadash), a left-wing political alliance in Israel. Alliance leader Ayman Odeh was also photographed waving paper at that time and was subsequently driven away.
