Regarding the Greenland plan, Trump: You will soon find out

European leaders have distanced themselves from US President Trump on the Greenland issue and have vowed to "unwaveringly" support Greenland and Denmark. A White House reporter asked Trump about the cost he was willing to pay to obtain Greenland. Trump replied to the reporter, "You'll find out soon."

According to reports from The New York Times and Reuters, on Tuesday (January 20th), before flying to Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum, Trump held a press conference at the White House that lasted for 1 hour and 40 minutes.

At a press conference, Trump was asked what he would do to acquire Greenland. Trump merely replied, "You'll find out soon."

But he then added, "We held many discussions (in Davos) about Greenland. I believe the progress will be very smooth."

"We will come up with a solution that will be satisfactory to both NATO and us."

Earlier that day, after speaking with NATO Secretary General Rutt, Trump posted on Truth Social: "Greenland is of vital importance to the United States and global security. There is no turning back - this is something everyone agrees on!"

Trump also released an image generated by artificial intelligence. The image shows him standing on the Greenland Island, holding an American flag in his hand. He also posted another image showing himself in conversation with various leaders, with a map placed beside him. The map indicated that Canada, Venezuela and Greenland were all covered with the American flag.

The French president Macron, who has already arrived in Davos, said to the journalists at the conference that the EU should not yield to the "law of power".

Macron said: "France and Europe value national sovereignty and independence, and respect the United Nations and its charter."

He also said, "We value mutual respect and reject bullying", "We value the rule of law and reject brutal behavior".
