Senior Iranian military officer: Israel's threatening remarks are "signs of unrest and weakness"

Iran's deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Wahidi, pointed out that the recent threatening remarks from the Israeli side are a sign of Israel's "instability and weakness".

Xinhua News Agency, citing the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran, reported on Sunday (December 21) that Wahidi responded to the upcoming visit of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to the United States and the recent escalation of Israeli remarks targeting Iran in an interview with Lebanon's "Square" TV. He said, "Israel is trying to target Iran through the media and psychological warfare, creating an image contrary to reality to cover up its own vulnerability." Such propaganda by Israel will not have any substantive effect.

Wahidi said that Israel's "aggression" against Iran launched in June this year failed to achieve any of its goals. He also said that Iran is closely monitoring regional and international developments and clearly assessing the situation.

Israeli media predict that Netanyahu will visit the United States at the end of this month and meet with US President Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. NBC reported on the 20th that due to concerns over Iran's "expansion of ballistic missile production", Netanyahu is preparing to inform Trump that Israel may strike Iran-related facilities again.

Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Zamir warned at a military event on the 21st that if necessary, the Israeli army will strike the enemy anywhere, "regardless of whether the front line is near or far." The Times of Israel reported that Zamir's remarks suggested that Israel might strike Iran again.

On June 13th, Israel launched large-scale air strikes on multiple locations in Iran. In response, Iran launched multiple rounds of missile and drone strikes against various targets within Israel. On the evening of June 21st, Trump announced that the US military had carried out air strikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran: Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.
