The Times reported on Tuesday (June 10) that the UK will impose sanctions on Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich for their actions in the Israel-Kazakhstan conflict.
It is reported that the UK will join countries such as Australia, Canada and New Zealand in freezing the assets of the two far-right Israeli ministers mentioned above and imposing travel bans on them.
Reuters reported that Israeli Foreign Minister Saar said on Tuesday: "We have learned that the UK has decided to put two of our ministers on the UK sanctions list," and described the decision to impose sanctions on elected representatives and government members as "outrageous".
The Israeli government will hold a special meeting early next week to decide how to respond to this "unacceptable decision".
