North Korea says it has successfully test-fired its new Hwasong-19 intercontinental missile

North Korea has announced that its General Directorate of Missiles under the guidance of leader Kim Jong UN has successfully conducted the launch of a new Hwasong-19 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

The KCNA reported on Friday (November 1) that Jang Changha, director of the missile General Administration, ordered the launch of the Second Red Flag Company immediately after Kim Jong UN approved the "test-firing of the latest type of strategic weapon" on the spot on October 31. The Hwasong-19 reached a maximum altitude of 7,687.5 kilometers and traveled a distance of 1,001.2 kilometers before falling into the intended target waters in international waters east of the Korean Peninsula after about 5,156 seconds (85.9 minutes).

The Hwasong-19 missile is the final version of the ICBM that will be used together with the Hwasong-18. He also said that this is the only way for the development of North Korea's strategic attack force, and North Korea will never change the course of strengthening nuclear force.
