Due to serious safety and non-compliance issues, the Land Transport Authority of Malaysia announced the recall of 3,722 vehicles, including the Alza and Aruz of Perodua, and Honda's CB350RS motorbikes.
According to the Star, the Land Transport Authority announced the recall of 2,518 Alza, 1,139 Aruz and 65 Honda CB350RS motorcycles.
Inspections by the authorities found that certain models did not meet regulatory standards. Among them, the headlights of three Alza and two Aruz models did not comply with regulations, and the speed sensors of Honda motorcycles were faulty, which could lead to serious errors in the anti-lock braking system, anti-skid control system and speed reading meter.
Car companies will contact affected car owners directly, and car owners can also go directly to service centers authorized by car companies across the country to arrange inspections, authorities said.
If the parts are found to be faulty, they can be replaced free of charge. All costs are fully borne by the relevant manufacturer to ensure that the owner does not have to pay additional costs.
