European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday (June 10) that the European Commission has proposed the 18th round of sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, aiming to target Russia's energy revenue and military industry.
Reuters reported that the new round of sanctions proposal proposes to ban transactions with Russia's Nord Stream gas pipeline and banks involved in circumvent sanctions.
The committee also recommended lowering the price cap on Russian seaborne crude oil from $60 (about S $77) per barrel to $45.
Eu countries will begin the debate on this sanctions plan this week.
