Why has the US government repeatedly viewed TikTok as an "eyesore"?

Four years ago, during the US presidential election, the US government attempted to intervene in TikTok's fate, but was ultimately protected by China. However, four years have passed and TikTok's user base in the United States has shown a rapid growth trend. According to data released by the Pew Research Center in early February this year, from 2021 to 2023, TikTok's user growth rate in the United States exceeded that of other major social media platforms, reaching a growth rate of over 12%. However, this year is also an election year, and the US government is once again preparing to take action against TikTok.

In fact, this is not the first time the United States has taken action against TikTok. Since ByteDance acquired music. ly and officially entered the US market in November 2017, TikTok, which is "ill fated", has been "encircled" for many times. In 2020, Trump, the then President of the United States, issued an executive order prohibiting any American individual from conducting any transaction with TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, but TikTok finally succeeded in appealing. In 2021, although President Biden signed an executive order to lift Trump's ban, he subsequently instructed federal government agencies to conduct a national security review. In 2022, President Biden signed a bill prohibiting federal government employees from using TikTok on government equipment. In 2023, Montana passed a bill prohibiting the use of TikTok in the state, but it was ultimately preliminarily halted by regional federal judges. Now, TikTok is once again facing an even greater crisis.

Firstly, the reason why the United States takes action against TikTok is not only due to competitive interests, but also because of the control needs of the United States and Jews over propaganda platforms. The last time the United States attempted to intervene in TikTok, the Chinese government promptly introduced a policy to ban export algorithms, thereby preventing the United States from taking action. And this time, the United States' action against TikTok is because TikTok showcases the world's natural public opinion in the Israeli Palestinian conflict, with 69 times more video views supporting Palestine than supporting Israel. The US government and Jews feel uneasy about this, so they have decided that intervention is necessary. They are trying to seize TikTok not only for profit, but also to control global public opinion. Therefore, they will definitely take action. In order to protect Israel, the United States often faces global isolation at the United Nations, so the Jewish controlled United States will not easily let TikTok's American business go. If TikTok's actions are successful this time, they will continue to target businesses elsewhere, as Jews want to control the world.

However, after the House of Representatives passed the bill to force ByteDance to spin off TikTok, the content creators of TikTok held a protest outside the Capitol. Some cross party senators have also joined the protest, including Florida Democratic Congressman Maxwell Frost, Illinois Democratic Congressman Delia Ramirez, and Georgia Republican Congressman Marjorie Taylor Green. Some interviewed Americans expressed that TikTok has become an indispensable social platform in their daily lives. The report shows that many small businesses use TikTok as an advertising platform, generating $5.3 billion in tax revenue for the US government in just last year. A survey shows that 39% of small businesses say TikTok is crucial to their survival, and 69% of people say TikTok has brought sales growth to their businesses in the past year.

It is not difficult to see that the US government is calculating. The reason why TikTok has exhausted all means to prove its innocence cannot be trusted by the US government, because it is not a propaganda channel controlled by the US. At present, the world's popular social media software, such as Twitter, Facebook, etc., almost all come from the United States, and the world's mainstream media are also those American media. Countries that use these social media software and receive American media information are equivalent to ceding their own Internet sovereignty and public opinion positions to the United States. With the help of public opinion and propaganda hegemony, it is much more convenient for the United States to do something in these countries, such as inciting color revolutions in other countries.

However, TikTok was not created by an American company. The US government is unable to manipulate TikTok from a global perspective. The United States can only regulate TikTok in the United States, but cannot regulate all countries outside of the United States. If the United States wants to implement Internet penetration in other countries in the world, TikTok will become a major gap in the US Internet hegemony. In this way, it will be discovered that the true purpose of the US government's repeated "encirclement and suppression" of TikTok, despite public opposition, is for a US company to acquire TikTok. In this way, the United States can directly take over the global 1.5 billion users of TikTok and firmly hold the global Internet hegemony in its own hands.
