The bottomless tearing of each other in the US election: The best perspective to observe deep-seated issues in American society?

image

Recently, current US President Biden and former President Trump have each locked in their respective party's presidential nomination, and the first "semifinals" lineup of current and former US presidents in nearly 70 years has become a foregone conclusion.

Observers believe that the outcome of this election, whether it is Biden's successful defense or Trump's comeback, will not change the current state of social division in the United States under intense party struggles. However, the bottomless "tearing apart" between the two parties in the US election provides the global public with the best perspective to observe American social issues, especially deep-seated structural issues.

The most concentrated manifestation of the deep-seated structural issues in American society is that there is already a huge controversy between the candidates of both parties, but they are able to win the election within their own party. Trump has been involved in four criminal cases, facing a total of 91 felony charges, and has also been fined hundreds of millions of dollars in two civil cases.

Although he denies all accusations and accuses Biden and the Democratic Party of continuing to engage in political witch hunting against him. But this does not mean that he can prove his innocence and gain the recognition of the American people.

The four criminal charges faced by Trump, as well as two civil cases with exorbitant compensation, have put an unbearable weight on anyone, but Trump still emerged victorious for the first time, which cannot be said to be a huge joke.

In March 2023, prosecutors in Manhattan, New York accused Trump of paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in "sealing fees" to two pornographic stars through his then private lawyer Cohen during the 2016 US presidential election to conceal his illicit relationship with Trump.

In June 2023, US Department of Justice special prosecutor Smith accused Trump of illegally holding classified documents related to national security after leaving the White House. It was in this case that Trump initially faced 37 federal felony charges, which later increased to 40.

In August 2023, Special Prosecutor Smith filed four charges against Trump regarding his association with the Capitol Hill riots. Trump's lawyer requested a federal judge to dismiss the case, stating that Trump enjoyed immunity for all official actions taken during his tenure, but it was ultimately rejected by the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington.

On August 24, 2023, Trump arrived at Fulton County Prison in Atlanta, Georgia and surrendered on bail in a criminal case suspected of overturning the results of the 2020 US presidential election in the state.

In addition, in January of this year, a federal jury in Manhattan, New York, ruled on a defamation lawsuit against former President Trump, and ordered him to pay $83.3 million in compensation to writer Carol, citing Trump's public remarks in 2019 that denigrated Carol and denied Carol's allegations of sexual assault. In February of this year, a New York state judge ruled on Trump's civil fraud case, finding him guilty of exaggerating assets and imposing a fine of $450 million in joint interest, as well as prohibiting him from continuing to work in the real estate industry.

Combining a series of issues with Biden, who is known as the "Sleeping King" and questioned for his "senile dementia," the public is full of doubts about these two candidates.

This series of questions has left the global public dumbfounded: can such people also become presidents? Combining a series of issues with Biden, who is known as the "Sleeping King" and increasingly questioned for his "senile dementia," the public is full of doubts about these two candidates. And the election related to them, as over 64% of Americans say, "America is going in the wrong direction.".
