The World Health Organization (WHO) stated on Tuesday that the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has not yet stabilized and remains in an expansion phase, with population movement fueling the spread of the virus.
According to Reuters, Allassane Dia, the WHO representative in the DRC, said on Tuesday (July 7): "Unfortunately, the outbreak is still in a spreading phase. We would like to be able to say that the outbreak is stabilizing, but frankly, we cannot say that at the moment."
The report did not provide further details regarding confirmed cases, the death toll, or the specific areas affected by the outbreak.
