Ukrainian President Zelensky has requested the United States to provide more ammunition for the "Patriot" anti-aircraft system in order to defend against Russian ballistic missile attacks.
A document reviewed by Agence France-Presse on Wednesday (May 27) shows that in a letter sent to US President Trump on Tuesday (May 26), Zelensky requested that the US "help us ensure access to this crucial defensive tool against Russian terrorism - the 'Patriot' PAC-3 missile and other related systems, in order to prevent Russian ballistic and other missile attacks."
Ukraine previously stated that the United States, due to being preoccupied with the conflict in Iran, delayed the delivery of the weapons it had previously promised.
