All over China have joined the new track of low-altitude economic development, and Shanghai plans to accelerate the planning and construction of the "space network" to help low-altitude economic development, and strive to build a "sky city" with global influence by 2027.

Last Friday (August 16), the Shanghai Municipal government issued the "Action Plan for the High-quality Development of the Low-altitude Economic Industry in Shanghai (2024-2027)", proposing to establish a complete industrial system for the development and design, final assembly and manufacturing, airworthiness testing and commercial application of new low-altitude aircraft by 2027, with the core industry scale reaching more than 50 billion yuan.

The action plan also proposes to speed up the planning and construction of "air networking" for the large-scale application of low-altitude aircraft, promote the sharing of facilities such as communication base stations and navigation system base stations, and build data storage facilities such as operation data, detection data and meteorological data. Actively use low-altitude flight special frequency to improve frequency utilization efficiency.

The Shanghai Communications Administration issued a guideline last Friday to promote the layout of a low-altitude communication awareness network and consolidate the digital base of information and communication for low-altitude economic development.

According to incomplete statistics of the surging news, since the beginning of this year, more than 10 provinces and cities, such as Beijing, Nanjing, Anhui and Shenzhen, have issued relevant action plans or consultation drafts around the low-altitude economy.

Low altitude generally refers to the airspace within 1000 meters from the ground, low altitude economy refers to the low altitude airspace, manned or unmanned aircraft, to drive economic activities in related fields.
