China's domestic passenger jet C919 has operated safely for more than 6,000 hours in the first year of commercial operation

China's homegrown large aircraft C919 marked its first anniversary of commercial operation on Tuesday, having accumulated more than 6,000 hours of safe operation.

According to CCTV news, the C919 has been operating in a normal technical state, performing well in safe flight, steadily improving the daily utilization rate and other indicators, and its comprehensive operation capability has been comprehensively tested.

The world's first delivered C919 successfully completed its first commercial passenger flight on May 28 last year.

Wang Zhiqing, chairman of China Eastern Airlines Group Co LTD, said the C919 has carried out more than 2,100 flights and operated safely for more than 6,000 hours in the past year. At the same time, C919 aircraft also transported nearly 300,000 passengers, with an average load factor of nearly 80%, surpassing other aircraft on the same route, and initially achieving commercial success.

In the past year of commercial operation, C919 aircraft has been in regular operation on three routes from Shanghai Hongqiao to Chengdu Tianfu, Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing Daxing, and Shanghai Hongqiao to Xi 'an Xianyang.

In addition, the sixth C919 passenger plane of China Eastern Airlines officially entered service on Tuesday, marking the acceleration of the large-scale operation of China's domestic large aircraft C919.

China Eastern Airlines' sixth C919 flew MU2999 from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on Tuesday, officially joining the China Eastern Airlines fleet.

The C919 is a large civil jet developed by China with independent intellectual property rights, designed against the most common Airbus 320 and Boeing 737 models in the international aviation market.
