The U.S. Department of Commerce has allocated funds to support the development of a business park and boost local manufacturing expansion

The Economic Development Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce recently announced a $2.975 million federal grant to the Moultrie-Corquet County Development Authority in Georgia to improve the infrastructure of the local business park. This funding will help the park further enhance its development conditions, supporting future manufacturing projects, business investment, and job growth.

The grant will primarily upgrade the business park's infrastructure, including road construction, drainage system improvements, gravity sewer construction, water and gas pipeline extensions, power line laying, and rainwater harvesting and regulation facilities. By improving this infrastructure, the park will have better capacity to accommodate businesses, meeting the production and operational needs of manufacturing companies and creating conditions to attract more investment.

The head of the Moultrie-Corquet County Development Authority stated that this federal funding is a significant achievement in the local government's long-term efforts to develop the business park. Currently, large-scale infrastructure investment is underway in the southern part of the park, and this funding will help continue the construction process, serving not only completed projects but also preparing for future development and business influx.

The official pointed out that the development of the Civic Business Park is a crucial project for local economic transformation and job creation.
