The Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced the official launch of the comprehensive transportation Pass product "Korail Pass Plus" for foreigners. This move aims to provide foreign tourists with a more convenient travel experience and further promote the development of South Korea's tourism industry.

Yonhap News Agency reported that "Korail Pass Plus" is an integrated transportation product launched based on the Korail Pass for foreign tourists' independent travel by rail. This pass allows unlimited rides on all trains of the Railway Corporation, including the high-speed Rail (KTX), within the specified period. It also includes the prepaid transportation card (Rail Plus) function for public transportation such as the subway and buses, enabling multiple uses with one card.

Foreign visitors can purchase the "Korail Pass" valid for 2 to 5 days through the Korea Railroad Corporation 's website (www.korail.com) or at stations. On this basis, an additional 8,000 Korean won will be paid to activate the transportation card function. Passengers only need to log in to the official website of "Korail Pass Plus", enter the ticket number of the purchased "Korail Pass" and apply for the opening of public transportation services.

After activation, the transportation card can be pre-recharged and used for taking subways and buses across the country. It can also be used to make offline payments for goods at "StoryWay" convenience stores and other places. Physical transportation cards can be collected at dedicated self-service terminals at Incheon International Airport and major high-speed railway stations such as Seoul, Busan, Dongdaegu and Daejeon.
