The Ministry of Unification of South Korea said regarding the incident where North Korea requested South Korea to prevent drones from entering North Korea, that the South Korean side will immediately implement measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.

The Yonhap News Agency reported that the spokesperson of the Ministry of Unification of South Korea, Yoon Min-ho, said at a press conference on Friday (February 13th) that the South Korean government has noted the remarks made by Kim Yong-chol, the deputy secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. He said that the South Korean side believes that Kim Yong-chol's remarks highlight the necessity for both South and North Korea to jointly work to ease tensions on the Korean Peninsula and prevent potential emergencies. It is believed that neither side of the two countries wants to see the tensions on the Korean Peninsula escalate. As long as both sides engage in candid communication with a sincere attitude, mutual trust can surely be restored.

The KCNA news agency reported on the 13th that Kim Yo Jong made a statement on the 12th, expressing regret over the incident where the South Korean minister for unification, Jeong Dong-yong, expressed regret over the South Korean drone's entry into North Korea and described it as "a relatively reasonable action". She also urged South Korea to formulate countermeasures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
