Afghanistan has launched retaliatory strikes against Pakistan in Kandahar and Helmand provinces.

The spokesperson of the Afghan government said on social media on Friday (February 27th) that after being targeted by Pakistani military air strikes in Kabul and Kandahar and other places, the Afghan side launched a large-scale retaliatory operation against Pakistani military targets in Kandahar Province and Helmand Province.

Afghan government spokesperson Mujahid confirmed on social media early that morning that parts of Kabul, Kandahar Province, and Paktia Province in Afghanistan were targeted by air strikes by the Pakistani military. So far, there have been no reports of casualties.

At around 2:10 a.m. on the 27th, a loud explosion was heard in the center of Kabul. There was also a sound that seemed to be from an aircraft passing by, followed by intense gunfire.

On the 26th, intense fighting broke out between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the border area of the two countries.
