The Korean People's Army conducted a hypersonic missile launch training on Sunday (January 4th), and North Korean leader Kim Jong UN observed the training.

According to a report by the Korean Central News Agency on Monday (5th), Kim Jong UN said that given the current geopolitical crisis and complex international situation, this launch is an extremely important strategic move to maintain and expand a strong and reliable nuclear deterrence.

Hypersonic missiles were launched northeastward from Lipo District, Pyongyang City, and hit targets set 1,000 kilometers away in the eastern waters of North Korea.

The South Korean military disclosed on Sunday that North Korea launched a ballistic missile into the eastern sea on the same day, just as South Korean President Lee Jae-myung began his state visit to China.

Before this missile test launch, North Korea issued a statement on Sunday condemning the US strike against Venezuela, claiming that it violated the country's sovereignty.
